Jay Ashby, Director of Operations for Cypress Tree Care, has over 30 years of experience in treecare, landscaping, and wood waste recycling industries. Jay is one of only a few ISA Certified Arborists with Municipal Specialist designation in Delaware. In addition Jay has also obtained the ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification, is a TCIA Certified Treecare Safety Professional, and is a Delaware Certified Nursery Professional. Jay is currently the Vice-Chair of the Delaware Urban Forestry Council and actively encourages the protection, growth, and long-term maintenance of Delaware's urban forestry resources.
Joe Shoup has neary 20 years of experience in the treecare industry as a foreman, aerial technician, and treecare safety inspector. Joe is an ISA Certified Arborist and has also obtained ISA Tree Risk Assesment Qualification. As part of Joe's duties, he manages the tree inspection program for seven Delaware Tree Friendly Communities in Sussex County.
Tyler Hammond graduated from University of Delaware in 2012 earning a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. He pursued his interest in environmental science and excelled in several professional fields of the Green Industry. Tyler became proficient in aquatic biology, stormwater management and sediment control while in the environmental services field. He continued his education through DNREC and the Department of Agriculture (DDA) to become a Certified Construction Reviewer (CCR), Stormwater and Sediment Responsible Contractor (Blue Card), and a licensed Pesticide Applicator. His desire for continuous education guided him through additional professions such as landscaping, wildlife management, vegetation control, turf management and plant diagnostics before concentrating on arboriculture.
Tyler is an ISA Certified Arborist and TCIA Tree Care Specialist while maintaining a range of environmental credentials. As our Client Representative, he has a knack for helping residents and local associations find effective tree management solutions within their budget.
In addition to our arborists, all of our employees are trained to TCIA guidelines and must pass TCIA Chipper Operator Specialist or Tree Care Specialist tests before performing any work or operating any tree care equipment on a job site.
